With a Ph.D. from EPFL and a track record of innovation, including patents and contributions to MPEG standards, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a fervent passion for empowering visual communication.

Patrick Heyn

Patrick Heyn, Vice President of Marketing, Q-SYS joined QSC in 2005 and held several marketing leadership roles throughout his tenure. Patrick oversees Q-SYS product marketing, global events, partner marketing, and training. He has worked to redefine the training and marketing experience in the AV industry with a distinctly different focus on engaging, memorable human experiences and learning.

Joe Whitesides

Joe Whitesides has over 25 years of experience in the AV industry serving as systems designer, executive manager, and consultant. As XTG’s Director of Experience Technology within AVI-SPL, Joe leads a global team designing systems to enable storytelling, especially in experience and briefing centers. Joe maintains certifications from a variety of manufacturers and industry partners (including CTS-D) and has a BS in Psychology from Virginia Tech. As a leader, Joe has worked to develop teams and improve processes from sales to installation, while striving to provide industry-leading customer service.

David Drain

David Drain is the show director for two Questex events, Digital Signage Experience (DSE) and Sensors Converge. Prior to Questex, Drain was with Networld Media Group for over 15 years, serving most recently as the Senior Vice President of Events and the Managing Director of the Interactive Customer Experience (ICX) Association. Drain created and oversaw a range of events, including the ICX Summit, the CONNECT Mobile CX Summit, the Bank Customer Experience (BCX) Summit and the Self-Service Innovation Summit. Drain initially joined Networld as the Executive Director of the Self-Service & Kiosk Association and the following year co-founded the Digital Signage Association, an early partner of DSE.
